Course Information
The aim of this qualification is for the candidates to attain the knowledge and practical competencies required to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations.
Course Content
- the roles and responsibilities of the paediatric first aider
- acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
- managing an unresponsive casualty and the recovery position
- cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- choking
- bleeding
- shock
- minor injuries
- safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
Certification Safety Training Awards (STA) Certificate of Training (with SQA Accreditation)
Course Length 6 hours
Maximum Participants 12 (8 if using Training for Care’s venue)
Course Fee
- £550 for up to 8 participants
- £72 per additional participant up to a maximum of 12
