We recognise that this has been an extremely challenging time for those in the Social Care and Childcare sectors but that high quality training will still be a priority. With this in mind, we have made adjustments to enable us to train safely during Covid-19.
Our priority is to provide a safe environment for our workers and learners. In order to do this, we have
- increased our use of technology (using Teams, Zoom and Google Classrooms)
- amended our SVQ assessment strategy
- adapted many of our short courses to be delivered online by a live trainer which, unlike some online training solutions, allows for participants to ask questions and participate in group discussion
- introduced measures to ensure the safety of course participants and trainers on courses that can’t be delivered online (Moving and Handling and First Aid)
