The aim of this qualification is for the candidates to attain the knowledge and practical competencies required to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations. Course Information The aim of this qualification is for the candidates to attain the knowledge and practical competencies required to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations. Course Content -The roles and responsibilities of the paediatric first aider -Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency -Managing an unresponsive casualty and the recovery position -Cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) -Choking -Bleeding -Shock -Minor injuries -Safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) Certification Safety Training Awards (STA) Certificate of Training (with SQA Accreditation) valid for 3 years Course Length 6 hours Important Notice: If you are working in a regulated role (for example, with children or vulnerable adults), you must supply a copy of your PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) certificate to us prior to attending the course. This requirement applies to all open courses. ⚠️ Please note: If we do not receive a copy of your PVG before the course starts, you will not be able to attend the course.
