Training for Care is an SQA approved assessment centre and has over 20 years’ experience of delivering SVQs to social care and childcare sector staff.

We are based in Edinburgh and deliver training throughout the Lothians however if you are outwith the Lothians please contact us to discuss SVQ assessor availability in your area.

Fees and Funding

Our qualifications are eligible for Modern Apprenticeship (MA) funding or SAAS Part-time Fee Grant (PTFG), we also work with organisations to access the Voluntary Sector Development Fund (VSDF)

Experience and Success

Training for Care has been delivering SVQs since 1993. We had the first student in Scotland to complete the Health and Social Care Modern Apprenticeship and the first student in Scotland to complete the Early Years Care and Education Modern Apprenticeship as well as three of the first ten students in Scotland to complete Child Care and Education SVQ 2 and one of the first ten students in Scotland to complete Care 4

Qualifications Social Services and Healthcare SVQ Levels 2, 3 and 4 (SCQF Levels 6, 7 and 9); PDA in Health and Social Care Supervision (SCQF Level 7); Management SVQ4 (SCQF Level 9) with CSLM Units
