The aim of this qualification is for the candidates to attain the knowledge and practical competencies required to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations.

The aim of this qualification is for the candidates to attain the knowledge and practical competencies required to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations.

Information 

Certification STA Certificate of Training (valid for 3 years)

Course Length  6 Hours

Delivery Model   Face-to-face delivery 

Maximum Participants   12 (8 if using Training for Care's venue)

Course Information

Course Content

​

  • the roles and responsibilities of the paediatric first aider

  • acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency

  • managing an unresponsive casualty and the recovery position

  • cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

  • choking

  • bleeding

  • shock

  • minor injuries

  • safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)

Course Fee

  • £640 for up to 8 participants

  • £80 per additional participant up to a maximum of 12
