The aim of this qualification is for the candidates to attain the knowledge and practical competencies required to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations. Course Information The aim of this qualification is for the candidates to attain the knowledge and practical competencies required to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations. Course Content -The roles and responsibilities of the paediatric first aider -Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency -Managing an unresponsive casualty and the recovery position -Cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) -Choking -Bleeding -Shock -Minor injuries -Safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) Certification Safety Training Awards (STA) Certificate of Training (with SQA Accreditation) valid for 3 years Course Length 6 hours
Cancellation Policy
Payment: Payment must be made prior to the date of the course. Cancellations: A full refund will be given if a booking is cancelled not later than 15 days prior to the course start date or if TfC cancels a course. Times: Stated course lengths include a.m. and p.m. break (15 min) and lunch break (30 min). Courses involving practical exercises may finish earlier than scheduled if participant numbers are low (although the syllabus will have been fully covered). Booking Confirmation will be emailed as soon as possible after we receive your booking request together with all relevant course documentation, if applicable.
