Childcarers First Aid
An extended emergency first aid course for staff and volunteers working with children and/or babies and includes child related conditions not covered by the standard four hour emergency first aid course. The course also makes specific reference to Epipen administration as requested by service providers.
Course Content
- ABC/resuscitation (adult, child, baby)
- choking (adult, child, baby)
- bleeding and shock
- adult related conditions (heart attacks)
- child related conditions (asthma, croup, etc.)
- anaphylactic shock and Epipen administration
- burns and scalds
- epileptic fits
- fractures
- the first aid container
